“I will always remember his calming voice in my head.”

I first met James...

In 1998 in an accounting class at Cal State Fullerton (Sophmore Year).  We graduated together Cum Laude in 2001.

Memorable moments...

James taught me a lot of things, one of which was how to play golf.  I remember when he took me out to play a course for the very first time.  We were up at the first tee with tons of people waiting and watching us tee off.  I went up nervously to the first tee.  I took my first swing and completely missed everything.  I took my second swing and took out a huge divot - again completely missing the ball.  James then walked up to me and said “you can do this, relax and don’t worry about whose watching, keep your head down and swing.”  He had that great ability with words and how to use them to put people at ease and finally I made contact with the ball.  He taught me how to play a great game that I will enjoy for the rest of my life. Now with every swing I take whether it’s a missed shot, a slice, or a birdie make, I will always remember his calming voice in my head.

Forever in our hearts...

Thank you for brightening my life.  The beautiful memories that you have given me will be forever cherished. We are all so blessed to have met such an incredible person.

I love you,

Marwan

I think of James when I listen to:

Bad Religion - Faith Alone

Men without Hats - Safety Dance

Coldplay - The Hardest Part

Three things you gotta know about James

It’s about the quality...not the quantity, so I’ll go with just one.  While driving in the car, if James saw someone jogging along the sidewalk he would lower the car window and do a surprise YELL at the top of his lungs. "YOOOOOOOO,” Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey"!!!!  It was absolutely hilarious - runners would get all freaked out.  If this was ever filmed on video, I would guarantee he would win the $10,000 jackpot on America's Funniest Home Videos.
